I was born in Memphis, and I moved to Colorado at age 10. I’m of the mind that the best bbq in the world comes from Memphis.
I’ve been around food my whole life, helping my father prepare Turduckens each year, raising chickens on our farm, fishing, and watching my grandma lovingly prepare each detail of our epic family feasts.
It was while working at a farm to table restaurant in Colorado when I truly fell in love with food professionally.
Family and friendships are built around food. The kitchen is my happy place.
I love being the first person in the kitchen in the morning when everything is pristine and glistening and ready to whip up a delicious meal. There’s even a meditative quality of the clean up, and if you’re lucky the soft whir of the dish washer.
At the end of the day, my favorite part of being a chef is the family and friendships I have built through food.
