Hailing from Brockton, MA, Chef Christos—better known as “Toast”—is a culinary creator who thrives on pushing boundaries and inspiring others to explore bold flavors.

His journey into the kitchen began unexpectedly during a year abroad in Europe, where cooking for dormmates turned into a passion that changed the trajectory of his life. After switching from sports management to hospitality, Christos honed his skills in food trucks, catering kitchens, and some of Boston’s best restaurants, earning accolades and a devoted following along the way.

What sets Chef Christos apart is his fearless curiosity and love for the unknown. Guided by Anthony Bourdain’s mantra, “It depends how far into the funk zone you go,” he delights in introducing people to new ingredients and flavor combinations. From crafting dishes that showcase the versatility of beer at Brockton Beer Company to creating menus inspired by diverse cultures and cuisines, Christos has a knack for making the unusual irresistible.

A grill master at heart, Chef Christos finds his joy over an open flame, whether it’s grilling branzino on a rustic Argentinian gaucho grill or perfecting BBQ paired with bourbon. His culinary creativity extends beyond the grill to meticulously crafted charcuterie boards, raw oysters, and vibrant dishes that keep diners asking, “Can I try that?”

Christos’ career highlights include three celebrated years at Brockton Beer Company, where he designed and led the kitchen from the ground up, earning media recognition alongside his brother. As the manager at Sofia Italian Steakhouse, he helped the restaurant achieve a “Best of Boston” nod in 2019. Though he’s hosted events for Wu-Tang Clan and cooked for state dignitaries and notable writers, he finds his greatest fulfillment in connecting with diners and inspiring them to step outside their culinary comfort zones.

When he’s not in the kitchen, you can find Chef Christos perfecting his swing on the golf course, producing music, or indulging in podcasts, movies, and video games. A true homebody at heart, he cherishes time spent with family, friends, and his girlfriend—especially when good food is involved.
