Say hello to Chef Tristan, who believes that food speaks louder than words—and he’s got a lot to say.

Growing up in the sunny streets of Weston, Florida, Tristan discovered his love for the kitchen while just trying to make some extra cash in high school. A gig at Chipotle turned into a full-blown culinary passion, and before long, Tristan was on the fast track to becoming a star in the kitchen.

Tristan’s heart beats to the rhythm of Latin American flavors, with a special love for Dominican cuisine, thanks to his mother’s home-cooked meals. His culinary journey has been nothing short of impressive. By the age of 21, he was already a Chef Tournant at the Michelin-starred French restaurant Bresca, and by 23, he was a Sous Chef at Imperfecto, a Michelin-starred Latin American gem.

Oh, and did we mention he was part of the opening team at Knife and Spoon, a fine dining spot that earned its Michelin star during the pandemic? Yeah, you read that right, pretty neat, huh?!

One of Tristan’s most cherished memories is when he handed a little girl a chef’s toque after she watched him cook with wide-eyed wonder. Moments like these remind him of the power of food and the personal connections it creates. And if you think his talents end in the kitchen, think again. Tristan is a master of the ukulele and a proud cat dad to three furballs: Luna, Yara, and Paco.

When he’s not busy in the kitchen, Tristan loves to recharge by hitting the gym, exploring nature, or just cooking a killer meal for himself. He’s also big on spending time with his partner, calling family, and discovering new foodie spots with friends. Oh, and if you’re wondering, yes, he’s cooked for some big names—including Barack Obama—but you won’t catch him bragging. He’s too busy perfecting his next dish.

Tristan’s catchphrase? “Hasta la pasta.” Because whether he’s whipping up Dominican delights or dishing out Michelin-starred magic, he’s always ready to leave you wanting more.
